From the first contact with the seller until the final registration was passed, it took nearby six months. The transportation caused half of the time, the rest for reconstruction and restoration. There is still some minor work left.
Big disasters fortunately not happened. The unplanned purchases of two new wheels and tires, as well as new fork tubes have finally exceeded the planned budget. I can endure it.
What are the rewards? A satisfactory feeling of having filled the gap between my other two bikes, a 1944 WLA and a 1997 Sportster. Getting the confirmation, that the balance of doing an original restoration mixed with own ideas worked well.
Finally I prepared a short video, to indicate the proudness and fun on my side finalizing this nice project.
An epilogue would not be complete without those to thank who have supported me in word and deed.
In alphabetical order:
Kurt Fischer, Richard Matlak, Erich Meyr, Andreas Noto, Arno Prexl, Joachim Roth, Dietmar Scheck, Jörg Seitz, Marta Szrenka, Radomir Zamurovic, Dieter Zollbrecht and Hans Zollner.
At the end I have to admit, that this project would not be possible without the support of my beloved wife, or at least without her toleration.

Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down!
