Since Dec. 27th the bike is loaded into a sea-container and brought into the Mahler Terminal of the harbour of New York.

Based on the told container number all further information and details could be retrieved:

• The 40-feet high-cube container was manufactured on Mar. 11th of 2011 and delivered to the Dong Fang International Assets Management Ltd. (specification).

• Since Jun. 1st of 2011 the container is leased by the Evergreen Marine Corp. (information).

• Evergreen Marine Corp. is one of the world-wide largest shipping company and is responsible for shipping this container. The actual container status can be retrieved online.
  Received FCL stands for full container load, which means that the container is provided fully loaded to the shipping company.
  Furthermore, the bill of lading of the container shows, that the container will be loaded onto the vessel YM Moderation, on his voyage 18E.

• The vessel YM Moderation is owned by the Los Halillos Shipping Co. and operates in the fleet of the Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp.

Just for delivering the container from New York to Bremerhaven we have four involved companies, plus the two companys for loading and unloading the container and the two terminal companies. The actual position, taken photos and estimated arrivel time of the vessel can be obtained from various websites - also as a Smartphone app.

According to the actual status the vessel should arrive on Jan. 6th of 2016 in New York - taking the container on board - and arrive in Bremerhaven on Jan. 19th.

The voyage 18E serves harbours in the following order: New York (US), Norfolk (US), Charleston (US), Antwerpen (B), Bremerhaven (D), Rotterdam (NL) und Le Havre (F).

Delayed by more than three days the vessel departed on Jan, 10th from the harbour of New York- heading Norfolk (Virginia). Luckily I was able to take a picture of the vessel from a harbour webcam, in spite of bad weather conditions. Passing the Bermudas and Azores, the vessel arrived in Bremerhaven on Jan, 27th arround 4am. On Jan, 29th the container was hauled to Bremen and opened in the warehouse of the Cargo Company. The custom declaration process already started and afterwards the delivery to Rosenheim will be organized. As befits a decent Harley, she immediately marked her territory.
